[origin: EP0255879A2] The hinge has a pillar part, a door part, a hinge bolt which connects the two parts pivotably and a door check. The hinge bolt has at least one elongated latching device which is parallel to its longitudinal axis and which interacts with a profiled section on the inside surface of the eye of one part of the hinge. The latching device or parts of the profiled section may be of sprung construction. The door check is not accessible from the outside and is therefore protected against dirt and water. The profiled section is optionally engraved in a profiled leaf which may be supported by a rubber lining. An elastic deformation of the entire eye is also possible. <IMAGE>
