[origin: EP0255997A2] The vehicle frame holder has a tilting support for a mortar barrel (41) etc and incorporates two jaws (201, 202) movable towards each other and fitting part-way round the barrel. The jaws form double-arm levers hinged on a bracket (205) on the vehicle frame (1). One arm of each jaw is coupled to a further lever (225) with a handle. The support for the barrel can also be on the bracket, and typically in the form of a roller.
