[origin: US4757698A] The dust extraction device located on the cam carriage (13) of the flat knitting machine has separate, independently operable suction fans (27) for the front and rear needle beds (11,12), which, by lowering of the suction nozzles (29,30), the use of smooth-walled suction ducts (31,32) and coupling of the dust containers (37) with the suction ducts and with the suction fans (27) ensures a good cleaning effect with low expenditure of energy and a maintenance free operation.

Die auf dem Schlitten (13) der Flachstrickmaschine angeordnete Entstaubungsvorrichtung weist für das vordere und das hintere Nadelbett (11, 12) gesonderte, unabhängig voneinander betätigbare Sauggebläse (27) auf, die durch das Absenken der Absaugdüsen (29, 30), durch die Verwendung glattwandiger Absaugkanäle (31, 32) und durch die Koppelung der Staubsammelbehälter (37) mit den Absaugkanälen und mit den Sauggebläsen (27) bei geringem Energieaufwand eine gute Reinigungswirkung und einen wartungsfreien Betrieb gewährleistet.
