Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0256376A2] The hinge arm can be linked to a baseplate either directly by means of a fixing screw or by means of an intermediate hooked plate screwed to the hinge arm and provided with a latching projection which can be moved against spring force. In order to be able to mount the hinge arm simply after changing over to assembly by means of a snap-in joint, the hooked plate (25) is provided with a guide for a slide (34) which can be moved against spring force and which has two hook-type extensions (44, 45) which are mounted on it approximately at right angles and spaced apart and which latch in behind holding edges of latch openings (60, 61), aligned with the latter, in the baseplate (20) in a snap-in action due to pressure exerted on the hinge arm (1) from above. Between the hook-type extensions (43, 44), the hooked plate (25) has a projection (31) or a recess and the baseplate (20) has a complimentary recess or a complimentary extension which perform a centring action by meshing in the latched state. At least one of the meshing parts is provided with a ramp-type inclined face (45) so that, after the hook plate has been placed on the latch openings, the slide (34) is pressed back against the force of the spring (38) when the parts are pressed together until the hooked edges (46) of the hook- type extensions (43, 44) drop in behind the holding edges in a snap-in action.
