In the device, a fixed block is fastened on both sides in the window of each roll housing. Bending cylinders for each of the two working rolls are arranged in the said block. To provide a robust, operationally reliable bending and balancing device which transfers the bending and displacing forces to the working roll fittings without any tilting moment, each block (12, 13) is designed on the roll side as a vertical guide (18), on which a lower lifting housing (19) and an upper lifting housing (20) are guided, the lifting housings (19, 20) having a horizontal wall (23, 29) extending respectively above or below the piston rods (16, 17) of the bending cylinders (14, 15) and, on the roll side, each having a horizontal guiding shoulder (21, 27) for a sliding surface (22 and 28 respectively) located around the middle of the assigned working roll fitting (4, 5). <IMAGE>

Bei einer Biege- und Ausbalanciervorrichtung für axial verschiebbare Arbeitswalzen eines Quartowalzgerüstes ist beidseitig im Fenster jedes Walzenständers je ein ortsfester Block befestigt, in dem Biegezylinder für jede der beiden Arbeitswalzen angeordnet sind. Zur Schaffung einer robusten, betriebssicheren Biege- und Ausbalanciervorrichtung mit kippmomentfreier Übertragung der Biege- und Verschiebekräfte auf die Arbeitswalzeneinbaustücke ist jeder Block (12, 13) walzenseitig als Vertikalführung (18) gestaltet, an der ein unteres Hubgehäuse (19) und ein oberes Hubgehäuse (20) geführt sind, die Hubgehäuse (19, 20) eine bis über bzw. unter die Kolbenstangen (16, 17) der Biegezylinder (14, 15) reichende horizontale Wandung (23, 29) und walzenseitig je einen horizontalen Führungsabsatz (21, 27) für eine im mittleren Bereich des zugeordneten Arbeitswalzeneinbaustücks (4, 5) befindliche Gleitfläche (22 bzw. 28) aufweisen.
