The shielding device possesses a supporting structure which receives at least one layer of radiation protection material (6). In order to provide a shielding device which can be installed more simply and can be used by everyone, the supporting structure consists of slab-shaped prefabricated parts (1) which can be put together tightly and fitted in a given room (2) as lining, separation, closure or the like. <IMAGE>

Eine Abschirmvorrichtung zum Schutz vor Strahlung, Giftgasen od. dgl., weist eine wenigstens eine Schicht aus Strahlenschutzmaterial (6) aufnehmende Tragkonstruktion auf. Um eine einfache installierbare und für jedermann anwendbare Abschirmvorrichtung zu schaffen, besteht die Tragkonstruktion aus plattenförmigen Fertigteilen (1), die in einem gegebenen Raum (2) als Auskleidung, Abtrennung, Verschluß od. dgl. dicht zusammensetzbar und einbaubar sind.
