[origin: EP0257018A2] The process involves gasifying the wastes and/or waste fuels, by feeding them to gasifying reactors (3, 4) heated directly by gas and/or oil, and subsequently burning the gases formed. Part of the flue gases from the downstream combustion chamber (5) are returned under pressure to one of the gasifying reactors (3), which is operated at temperatures between 500 and 1200 DEG C, preferably at temperatures between 700 and 1200 DEG C. <IMAGE>
