Abstract (en)
[origin: WO8704682A1] A sailboard of the type having a mast (36) pivotally connected to a board (10), a boom (18) connected at one end to the mast (36) and a sail (16) tensioned by out haul (22) and down haul (26) lines. Prior art mechanisms for releasably connecting the mast to the sailboard, the boom and boom extensions, and the downhaul and outhaul lines are somewhat inconvenient and difficult to operate. A down haul tie down mechansim (28) is provided for receiving and securing the down haul line (26) at a location adjacent to the sailboard pivot (60). Release mechanisms (in Figs. 7-9) for releasably interconnecting other sailboard components, such as boom sections (126, 128) and boom extensions (130, 132), are also disclosed.
