The device comprises means for computing the relations relating the luminance and chrominance to the colour components, and is characterized in that said computing means are logic means comprising means (40, 41, 42) for decoding luminance and chrominance signals, and means (43, 44, 45,46) for matrixing said decoded luminance and chrominance signals in accordance with the relations established between the luminance and chrominance on one hand, and the colour components on the other hand.
