The unit (1), provided with overvoltage suppressors (5), can be connected with contact surfaces (8) of its contact parts (3) to plug-in contacts (9) of a layer module of a distributor in a telephone switching device. Contact tabs (12), which are stamped free, are bent up from the contact piece (3), and extend to the vicinity of spring fingers (11) of an earthing multiple (7). On its end facing away from the contact surface (8), the contact piece (3) forms a contact zone for a fusing piece (6) on which the overvoltage suppressor (5) is seated. In the event of a relatively long duration overload, the fusing piece (6) can melt, as a result of which the contact finger (11) is placed on the contact tabs (12) and the contact piece (3) is earthed. <IMAGE>

Die mit Überspannungsableitern (5) versehene Baugruppe (1) ist mit Kontaktflächen (8) ihrer Kontaktteile (3) an Steckkontakten (9) eines Schichtbausteines eines Verteilers in einer Fernsprechvermittlungseinrichtung anschaltbar. Aus dem Kontaktstück (3) sind freigestanzte Kontaktlappen (12) hochgebogen, die sich bis in die Nähe von Federfingern (11) eines Erdungsvielfaches (7) erstrecken. Das Kontaktteil (3) bildet an seinem der Kontaktfläche (8) abgewandten Ende eine Kontaktzone für ein Schmelzstück (6) auf dem der Überspannungsableiter (5) aufsitzt. Bei länger andauernder Überlastung kann das Schmelzstück (6) schmelzen, wodurch der Kontaktfinger (11) auf den Kontaktlappen (12) aufsetzt und das Kontaktstück (3) an Erde gelegt wird.
