Abstract (en)

A silver halide color photographic material and a method of processing said photographic material are disclosed, said photographic material having one or more silver halide emulsion layers on a support, at least one of said silver halide emulsion layers containing a compound of the following formula (I) and silver halide grains having fog centers on their surface or subsurface: <CHEM> where Z represents a group of the non-metallic atoms necessary for forming a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic ring, provided that the ring formed by Z may have a substituent; X represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent capable of being eliminated upon reaction with the oxidation product of a color developing agent; and R represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent.
