Abstract (en)
An aluminum alloy support for a lithographic printing plate is disclosed, wherein the aluminum alloy support comprises 0.30 wt% to less than 1.0 wt% of Mg, more than 0.3 wt% up to 1.3 wt% of Si, 0.003 wt% tp 0.10 wt% of Cu, the balance being Al and usual impurities. Preferably the average width of the grain perpendicular to the rolling direction is at most 40 mu m. A process for producing the support via various rolling and annealing steps and a lithographic printing plate with a light-sensitive coating using the support are also disclosed.
