[origin: WO8705123A1] An eye glass assembly having a frame (12) with a rim portion (14) with an inner peripheral edge extending between the frame front side and the frame back side. Opposing surfaces of the rim portion define a groove (26) in the peripheral edge with the groove including a first annular rear retaining surface (26a) and an opposing annular forward retaining surface (26b) both generally parallel to a dimension extending between opposing surfaces of the inner peripheral edge. An eye glass lens (20) is sized to be received within the rim portion and has an outer peripheral edge sized to be received against the inner peripheral edge of the rim. A retaning ridge (32) is disposed on the outer peripheral edge of the lens and protrudes therefrom into the groove. The retaining ridge is provided with a first annular retaining surface (32a) and a parallel spaced apart second annular retaining surface (32b) which oppose the rear retaining surface and the forward retaining surface, respectively. The first and second retaining surfaces are both generally parallel to the dimension extending between opposing surfaces of the inner peripheral edge.

La paire de lunettes ci-décrite possède une monture (12) comportant une partie-bord (14) pourvue d'un rebord périphérique intérieur s'étendant entre la face avant de la monture et la face arrière de cette dernière. Les surfaces en regard de la partie bord définissent une gorge (26) dans le rebord périphérique, cette gorge comprenant une première surface annulaire arrière de blocage (26a) et, en regard, une surface annulaire avant le blocage (26b), toutes deux étant généralement parallèles à une dimension s'étendant entre les surfaces en regard du rebord périphérique intérieur. Une lentille oculaire (20) est dimensionnée pour venir se loger à l'intérieur de la partie-bord et possède un rebord périphérique extérieur dimensionné pour se loger contre le rebord périphérique intérieur du bord. Une partie protubérante de blocage (32) est disposée sur le rebord périphérique extérieur de la lentille et fait saillie dans la gorge. Cette protubérance de blocage est pourvue d'une première surface annulaire de blocage (32a) et d'une seconde surface annulaire de blocage (32b) parallèles et espacées, lesquelles sont situées en regard respectivement de la surface arrière de blocage et de la surface avant de blocage. Les première et seconde surfaces de blocage sont en général parallèles à la dimension s'étendant entre les surfaces en regard du rebord périphérique intérieur.
