[origin: WO8605770A1] The apparatus comprises a biorotor (2) preferably formed by a sector modules (20), within which biorotor a granular medium (11) is provided to form a substrate for the biomass, said medium simultaneously serving as a hydraulic bearing during the rotation of the rotor partly immersed in water so that it holds up the entire biorotor structure as well as the active biomass.

Le dispositif comprend un biorotor (2) composé de préférence de modules en forme de secteurs (20). A l'intérieur du biorotor un milieu granulaire (11) forme un substrat pour la biomasse, le milieu servant simultanément de support hydraulique pendant la rotation du rotor partiellement immergé dans l'eau, de manière à soutenir la totalité de la structure du biorotor ainsi que la biomasse active.
