[origin: WO8704812A1] The method disclosed comprises, during a first step, the vacuum deposition on the surface of a substrate (10) of at least a first layer (11) of at least one metal elected amongst a group including titanium, zirconium, hafnium, vanadium, niobium, tantalum, chromium, molybdenum, tungsten, aluminium, to which there is added at least one element selected amongst the group including carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, boron, silicon, fluorine, chlorine, sulphur, phosphorus, and during a second step, the activation of said first layer by ionic bombardment in vacuum conditions and the simultaneous deposition of a second fine layer (12) of a metal and/or a metal alloy, and finally, during a third step, the galvanic deposition of a third layer (13) of a decorative metal coating on said second layer (12).

Le procédé consiste à déposer sous vide, au cours d'une première étape, sur la surface d'un substrat (10), au moins une première couche (11) d'au moins un métal choisi parmi le groupe: titane, zirconium, hafnium, vanadium, niobium, tantale, chrome, molybdène, tungstène, aluminium, auquel on ajoute au moins un élément choisi parmi le groupe: carbone, azote, oxygène, bore, silicium, fluor, chlore, soufre, phosphore, à activer, au cours d'une seconde étape, cette première couche par bombardement ionique sous vide et à déposer simultanément une seconde couche fine (12) d'un métal et/ou d'un alliage métallique, et enfin à déposer galvaniquement, au cours d'une troisième étape sur cette seconde couche (12) une troisième couche (13) d'un revêtement métallique décoratif.
