Each carriage is driven by its own servo-motor which is mounted on a platen guiding the carriage. The carriage units (10) are fixed by means of fixing brackets (6, 7) to a fixed base plate (1) which has preferably T-shaped grooves (2) on both sides. All the servo-motors are synchronously regulated or program controlled.
