[origin: EP0258505A1] An apparatus for stacking paperboard blanks (14) is disclosed. The apparatus comprises: a timed conveyor assembly (18) for serially advancing and releasing the blanks from beneath the conveyor assembly, and being selectively operable to: (a) advance serially spaced ones of said blanks; and, (b) create a space between non-serially spaced ones of said blanks while advancing said blanks to permit stacking thereof; stop means (20A, 20B) adjacent to a discharge end of the timed conveyor assembly for stopping the advance of said blanks upon their release by the conveyor assembly; and receiving means (E) beneath the timed conveyor assembly upon which said blanks are stacked following release by the conveyor assembly.
