[origin: EP0258536A2] The cover section is for bridging the distance between the two shells of the chest wall. It has locking elements for securing the angled shell edges and the space between the two outer shells of the chest wall, bridged by the cover section, is filled with foam. It is regarded as the characterising feature of the invention that the locking element (12) has a flexible rest (124) for the shell edge (21). A head part (125), extending to points (1251, 1252), is formed on at the free end of the flexible rest (124), approximately at right angles to the axis of the rest (124). In the locking state, this head part (125) on the one hand enters into effective connection with a longitudinally extending engaging groove (16), shaped in assigned bottom regions of the cover section (1). On the other hand, the head part (125) bears in a sealing manner against the outer wall (211) of the angled shell edge (21).
