Abstract (en)
To produce phosphate layers on surfaces, which consist partially or wholly of zinc or zinc alloys, by means of phosphating solutions containing zinc, phosphate, accelerators and nickel, by dipping or flooding, a phosphating solution which, if chlorate is used as accelerator, is kept virtually free of nitrate and nitrite and, if nitrate and/or nitrite is used as accelerator, is kept virtually free of chlorate and chloride, is used in order to avoid formation of fish eyes. The phosphate layers can be produced by the normal zinc technology or by the low-zinc technology. They are particularly suitable for preparing the surfaces for coating and, when the low-zinc technology is used, for electro-dip coating.

Bei einem Verfahren zur Erzeugung von Phosphatschichten auf Oberflächen, die teilweise oder ganz aus Zink oder Zinklegierungen bestehen, mittels Zink, Phosphat, Beschleuniger sowie Nickel enthaltenden Phosphatierungslösungen im Tauchen oder Fluten arbeitet man zur Vermeidung einer Stippenbildung mit einer Phosphatierungslösung, die bei Einsatz von Chlorat als Beschleuniger praktisch frei von Nitrat und Nitrit und bei Einsatz von Nitrat und/oder Nitrit als Beschleuniger praktisch frei von Chlorat und Chlorid gehalten wird. Die Phosphatschichten können nach der Normalzink-, aber auch der Niedrigzink-Technologie erzeugt werden. Sie eignen sich insbesondere zur Vorbereitung der Oberflächen für die Lackierung, bei Anwendung der Niedrigzink-Technologie für die Elektrotauchlackierung.
