Abstract (en)
[origin: US4807504A] The invention relates to the preparation of a stack of knitted fabric panels for subsequent cutting. It consists in spreading the knitted panels under extension over the needles of a needle table, covering the formed stack over with a sheet of material impervious to air, creating a reduced pressure inside the stack by sucking in the air contained between the table and the sheet, retracting the needles from the stack and proceeding to the cutting while keeping up the suction throughout the cutting operation. The needle table comprises a table top perforated with holes, a movable support on which are fixed the needles and a tight box containing the movable support and equipped with suction means.

L'invention concerne la préparation à la coupe de matelas de panneaux tricotés. Elle consiste à placer sous extension les panneaux tricotés sur les aiguilles d'une table (4) à aiguilles, à recouvrir le matelas (6) ainsi constitué d'une feuille (28) d'un matériau imperméable à l' air, à créer une dépression à l'intérieur du matelas (6) par aspiration de l'air contenu entre la tablette (3) et la feuille (28), à retirer les aiguilles du matelas et à procéder à la coupe tout en maintenant l'aspiration pendant toute la durée de la coupe. La table (4) à aiguilles comporte une tablette (3) perforée de trous (9), un support mobile (7) sur lequel sont fixées les aiguilles et un caisson étanche (8) dans lequel est placé le support mobile (7) et qui est muni d'une aspiration (27).
