[origin: US4803376A] The control method concerns a reversible electrical machine capable of working either as a generator (alternator) or as a motor intended for a motor vehicle, this machine comprising an armature winding (4) and an inductor winding (1), the inductor (1) being controlled by a regulator (2a) during operation in the alternator mode. During operation in the motor mode the supply voltage for the armature (4) and or the excitation (1) is controlled so as to obtain the desired torque-speed characteristics.

Le procédé de commande concerne une machine électrique réversible pouvant fonctionner soit en générateur (alternateur) soit en moteur, destinée à un véhicule automobile, cette machine comprenant un induit (4) et un inducteur (1) bobinés, l'inducteur (1) étant commandé, lors du focntionnement en alternateur par un régulateur (2a). Lors du fonctionnement en moteur, on contrôle la tension d'alimentation de l'induit (4) et/ou l'excitation (1) afin d'obtenir les caractéristiques souhaitées en couple-vitesse.
