[origin: US4771904A] A tamperproof closure for a container having a threaded neck comprises a cap having an outside skirt threaded on the inside to be engaged on the neck of the container. The skirt is extended by a tamperproof band which is connected to the skirt by bridges of material that can be cut. The neck of the container is provided with a plurality of circumferentially oriented radial catches. The tamperproof band has a plurality of inside radial lugs having a profile complementary to the neck lugs, the catches and lugs being configured to permit passage of the latter over the former in the direction of screwing, and to oppose passage in the opposite direction. Below the threaded part of the container neck is provided a flange of cross section exhibiting a profile converging toward the bottom of the container. A face of each inside radial lug of the tamperproof band is beveled toward the direction of the cap top. When the flange of the neck of the container is placed axially on the neck, a traction stress is exerted on the tamperproof band in the direction of the bottom of the container.

Ces moyens sont du type comprenant un bouchon (2) comportant une jupe (5) destinée à être vissée sur le col (3), cette jupe (5) étant prolongée par une ceinture d'inviolabilité (7), et dans lequel le col (3) du récipient (4) présente, à sa base, une pluralité de crans radiaux (11) orientés circonférentiellement et la ceinture (7) présente une pluralité de bossages radiaux intérieurs (9) orientés circonférentiellement en sens inverse, les orientations et les dimensions des crans (11) et des bossages (9) étant déterminées de manière à permettre le passage des seconds sur les premiers uniquement dans le sens du vissage. Il est prévu, à proximité de la base du col (3), une collerette (15) de section transversale présentant un profil convergent en direction du fond du récipient (4) et la face (9a) tournée en direction du fond du bouchon (2) de chaque bossage radial intérieur (9) de la ceinture d'inviolabilité (7) est biseautée de manière à présenter un profil divergent en direction du fond du bouchon (2), le diamètre de la collerette précitée (15) ayant une valeur comprise entre le diamétre intérieur (7a) de la ceinture (7) et le diamètre du cercle délimité par les sommets des bossages (9) de cette ceinture, tandis que la collerette considérée (15) est disposée axialement sur ce col de manière qu'en fin de vissage, sa partie convergente en direction du fond du récipient (4) soit au contact de la face biseautée (9a) des bossages (9) et qu'il résulte de ce contact une contrainte de traction exercée sur la ceinture en direction (flèche 14) du fond du récipient (4).
