Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0261245A1] This improved process for producing transparent conductive film consists of forming a thin conductive layer on the surface of a plastic film by running the plastic film at high speed and ion-plating it using a pressure-gradient type discharge method. The plastic film is run at a speed of 8-30 metres/minute. The conductive layer is composed of indium oxide, tin oxide, ITO or the like. Suitable plastic film is polyester, polysulphone, polyimide etc. Typical conditions for the pressure-gradient type discharge are, pressure 1 x 10 power(-5) -1 x 10 power(-1) Torr, discharge voltage 50-100 V.
