[origin: US4816372A] Compounds of the formula I are suitable as thermal development and diffusion promoting agents for the heat development process. With the aid of said compounds higher color transfer densities can be achieved and/or the development time can be shortened. <IMAGE> (I) wherein X1 denotes -SO2- or-CO-; R1 to R4 denote alkyl, cycloalkyl, aralkyl or aryl; R5 and R6 denote acyl or a group as defined for R1 to R4; and R1 together with R5, R2 together with R6, R3 together with R4 and/or R1 together with R2 may in each case form a heterocyclic ring containing at least one nitrogen atom.

Als thermische Entwicklungs- und Diffusionsförderungsmittel für das Wärmeentwicklungsverfahren eignen sich Verbindungen der Formel I. Mit den genannten Verbindungen können höhere Farbübertragsdichten erzielt und/oder die Entwicklungszeit abgekürzt werden. <IMAGE> worin bedeuten X -SO2- oder -CO-; R¹ - R<4> Alkyl, Cycloalkyl, Aralkyl oder Aryl; R<5>, R<6> Acyl oder einen Rest wie angegeben für R¹ - R<4>; wobei R¹ zusammen mit R<5>, R² zusammen mit R<6>, R³ zusammen mit R<4> und/oder R¹ zusammen mit R² jeweils einen mindestens ein Stickstoffatom enthaltenden heterocyclischen Ring bilden können.
