Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0261891A2] Etiocholandione is administered to mammals for the treatment of prophylaxis of diabetes, obesity, hpbercorticoidism and bone marrow suppressive disorders. Following administration the dione is converted to alphaetiocholanolone which is pharmaceutically active. The use of etiocholandione as a pharmaceutical and compositions containing it are described.
