[origin: EP0262372A2] An electronic circuit (9) is provided for controlling a carriage for a cable crane having a load suspension means (7), which can be raised and lowered by means of the hauling cable (6) once the carrying cable (2) has been clamped. This electronic circuit controls an electrical switching element (10) of the operating mode changing device with a time delay at each desired stopping point, a cable roller (4) being assigned a detecting element (5) which registers stopping. When the carrying cable clamping is released, the re-locking load suspension means (7) switches from crane operation back to travelling operation, renewed actuation of the switching element (10) for switching back to crane operation not being possible until after a time delay or travel delay. <IMAGE>
