[origin: EP0262400A1] A bunker (1) is provided with a conical bottom (3), with a discharge section (4) below the conical bottom (3), and with a closure member (5), for example a slide valve, at the lower end of the discharge section. An insert (6) is arranged in the lower region of the conical bottom, coaxially thereto. An annular gap (9) is provided between the interior wall (7) of the bottom and the exterior wall (8) of the insert. The interior wall of the insert is widened conically upwards in its upper region (10), and is substantially cylindrical in its lower region (11). A pipe (12) is coaxially moulded onto this lower region of the insert, encloses the lower region of the insert and is vertically displaceable thereon. Approximately at the transition (10, 11) from the conical to the cylindrical region, a second closure member (13), for example a slide valve, is arranged on the insert in order to control the flow rate of the bulk material through the insert. The upper periphery of the discharge section approximately coincides with the annular gap. The lower end of the pipe (12) is displaceable on both sides of the plane of the annular gap. The means for displacing the pipe and for adjusting the second closure member can be actuated from outside the bunker in order to adjust the flow rate as a function of the properties of the bulk material. <IMAGE>
