[origin: WO8706001A1] Device for checking the straightness and, required, the height and/or distortions in vessels made of transparent material, with a conveyor belt on which the vessels are placed and which carries the vessels through a light barrier to a test zone, in which is provided a light-beam arrangement which runs in a plane essentially parallel to that of the conveyor belt, surround a test surface having a predetermined geometry and co-operates with a detector system that produces output signals according to the result of the test. The light-beam arrangement is formed by a single light-beam (2) which is so reflected by mirrors (4), (5), (6) and (7) that it passes round the test surface (3), and whose edges, in the measurement position, do not touch the external boundaries of the vessel to be checked (22) provided that this vessel has a straight shape within a predetermined tolerance, but touch these boundaries if the vessel is out of line in relation to the predetermined tolerence, in which case the light beam when emerging from the test zone strikes a single detector (11).

Le dispositif ci-décrit comporte une bande transporteuse sur laquelle les récipients sont placés et qui transportent lesdits récipients jusqu'à une zone d'essai en passant par une barrière lumineuse, zone d'essai dans laquelle est prévu un agencement de faisceaux lumineux qui s'étend dans un plan sensiblement parallèle à celui de la bande transporteuse, entoure une surface d'essai ayant une géométrie prédéterminée et coopère avec un système détecteur produisant des signaux de sortie en fonction du résultat de l'essai. L'agencement à faisceau lumineux est formé par un seul faisceau lumineux (2) qui est réfléchi par des miroirs (4, 5, 6, 7) de telle manière qu'il entoure la surface d'essai (3), et dont les bords, en position de mesurage, ne touchent pas les contours externes du récipient à contrôler (22), à condition que ce récipient présente une forme droite dans le cadre d'une tolérance prédéterminée, mais touchent ses contours si le récipient est hors tolérance, auquel cas le faisceaux lumineux, à sa sortie de la zone d'essai, frappe un seul détecteur (11).
