Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0264009A2] The method is used for making bundles of thermoplastic bags which can be welded off and/or separated from a tubular or semitubular web of film or a web of film having side parts, which are folded over onto the central web part, by means of transversely welded separation seams and/or welded seams and separation cuts, and are bundled. Tear-off perforation lines, bounding tab-type film portions, are mounted on the web portions which are still attached in the web and form the later bags. Said tear-off perforation lines are provided with bundle holes and/or blocked together in the bundles. In order, on the one hand, not to weaken the initial web during production by tear-off perforation lines in such a way that tensile stresses caused by the production process in the web can no longer be reliably transmitted and that, on the other hand, the formation of web lengths of the tear-off perforation lines is allowed which allows non-destructive tearing-off of the bags from the later bag bundles, the tear-off perforation lines (5) are punched with webs (9) of differing length, the web lengths being matched to the course of force when the bags are torn off along the tear-off perforation line (5) in such a way that tearing-off along the tear-off perforation line (5) is guaranteed (single figure). <IMAGE>
