The closure consists of a drum slide, which is mounted rotatably about its axis in a housing and is penetrated by a bore perpendicular to its circumference, which can be brought into alignment by rotation of the drum slide with the receiving shaft of the container for the purpose of loading and unloading the same. The drum slide has a closed hollow drum. The bore is formed by a guide tube radially penetrating the hollow drum. Arranged at right angles to the guide tube is a radial vertical shaft, which opens into the cylindrical surface of the hollow drum, dips into the guide tube and is joined to the cylindrical surface of the guide tube. This closure provides optimum shielding without additional measures and a minimum overall height. <IMAGE>
Abstract (de)
Ein Verschluß (2) für Behälter, insbesondere zur Aufnahme und zum Transport von radioaktiven und/oder toxischen Stoffen besteht aus einem in einem Gehäuse um seine Achse drehbar gelagerten Walzenschieber (4), der senkrecht zu seinem Umfang von einer Bohrung durchsetzt ist, die durch Drehen des Walzenschiebers mit dem Aufnahmeschacht des Behälters zum Be- und Entladen desselben ausrichtbar ist. Der Walzenschieber weist eine geschlossene Hohlwalze auf. Die Bohrung wird durch ein die Hohlwalze radial durchsetzendes Führungsrohr gebildet. Rechtwinklig zum Führungsrohr ist ein radialer, offen im Mantel der Hohlwalze mündender Standschacht (22) angeordnet, der in das Führungsrohr eintaucht und mit dem Mantel des Führungsrohres verbunden ist. Durch diesen Verschluß wird eine optimale Abschirmung ohne zusätzliche Maßnahmen und eine minimale Bauhöhe erreicht.
