Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0264894A2] In the process, the relief printing form consists of an underlay (U) made of an elastomeric material, a relief layer (P) made of a mixture photocrosslinked by irradiation with actinic light, which before photocrosslinking contained a mixture of 50 - 99% by weight of an elastomer and 1 - 50% by weight of at least one photopolymerisable olefinically unsaturated monomer substantially compatible with the elastomer, as well as, between the underlay (U) and the relief layer (P) and attached to each by thin layers of adhesive, an intermediate layer (Z) which is insoluble in both the developer solvent used to produce the relief and in the printing ink solvents and is impermeable to them, and where the side of the underlay (U) facing away from the intermediate layer (Z) is provided with an adhesive layer transparent to actinic light, which on the one hand is firmly attached to the underlay (U) and on the other hand possesses an adhesive force of 1 - 6 N/25 mm, the relief printing form thus being attached to the printing cylinder.
