[origin: US4819841A] A manipulator for engaging a pouring tube (11) with the discharge gate valve of pouring ladle is designed so that the position of a cylinder (7) for turning a boom (4) for holding the pouring tube (11) depends on the pressure applied to the turning cylinder (7). This is accomplished by a spring (15) interposed between the turning cylinder (7) and the boom (4).
