[origin: US4807534A] A device for ejecting ammunition containers from a war head has transverse to the war head longitudinal axis a bellows, which holds the ammunition containers in a plurality of concave pockets. The bellows is inflated by a gas generator including a gas-permeable tube extending along the longitudinal axis. In order to achieve a wide range of variations in the behavior of the ammunition containers in the process of being ejected, a propellant charge of the gas generator is particulate, with at least one ignition cord extending along the longitudinal axis of the tube around which a particle ignition mixture is arranged, so that the hot particles during burn-down of the ignition mixture are pressed between the particles of the propellant charge. A daming serves for building up the initial pressure required for the burning down of the propellant charge.

Eine Vorrichtung zum Ausstoßen von Munitionsbehältern (3) aus einem Gefechtskopf (1) quer zur Gefechtskopflängsachse (5) weist einen Balg (4) auf, der die Munitionsbehälter (3) in konkaven Taschen (6) aufnimmt. Der Balg (4) wird durch einen Gasgenerator (7) bestehend aus einem sich entlang der Längsachse (5) ersteckenden gasdurchlässigen Rohr (8) aufgeblasen. Um eine möglichst große Variationsbreite des Abgangsverhaltens der Munitionsbehälter (3) zu erzielen, ist die Treibladung (12) des Gasgenerators (7) teilchenförmig ausgebildet, wobei sich wenigstens eine Anzündschnur (10, 10') entlang der Längsachse des Rohres (8) erstreckt, um die eine Partikel-Anzündmischung (11) angeordnet ist, so daß die heißen Partikel beim Abbrennen der Anzündmischung (11) zwischen die Teilchen der Treibladung (12) gedrückt werden. Eine Verdämmung (9) dient zum Aufbau des für das Abbrennen der Treibladung (12) erforderlichen Anfangsdrucks.
