[origin: EP0265708A2] A lead-sealable housing, especially for use as a variable peripheral unit, for example equipped as a printer, data memory module with or without a control keyboard (38), for connection to a taxi meter, is described. The housing is composed of a housing top part (1) and of a housing bottom part (2) which serve for receiving the electronic units and which are protected by means of lead-sealable screws (3, 4). Because a paper storage shaft (11) is formed integrally in the housing top part (1), access to the electronic units remains closed. A combination of lids (12, 16) firmly connectable to the housing top part (1) or of a cover (19) and/or of a cover plate (40) makes it possible to obtain a universal modification of the equipment housing designs. <IMAGE>
