[origin: EP0265801A2] For straightening open profiles having transverse and longitudinal deformations which can be skew and bent, use is made of a device with an elongate supporting structure (1) which is produced by the welding of conventional profiles. Located on the supporting structure (1) are sliding rails (2, 3), in which is inserted at most one displaceable slide (4) connected to piston rods (5a, 6a) of servomotors (5, 6). Fastened to the slide (4) are holders (7, 9) which fix the profile (17) to be drawn. Fastened to sets of supporting arms (1c, 1d, 1f) incorporated in the supporting structure (1) are a prestraightening head (11) with a servomotor (12), a roller head (13) with a servomotor (14) and an additional head (18) for straightening the profile edges (17a). During the straightening of skew deformations of the profile (17), the prestraightening head (11) is partially rotated by means of a servomotor (19) assigned to one of the holders. During the straightening of curved or bent deformations, the roller head (13) is displaced vertically upwards and downwards by the servomotor (14) (Figure 1). <IMAGE>
