Abstract (en)
This aid device for target acquisition by an operator in a weapon system having a target detection and location system supplying target location information comprises essentially means (4n) for synthesising stereophonic sound signals intended for the operator and means (5) for converting target location information into control information for the synthesis of stereophonic signals, in order to give the operator the subjective feeling of an attack direction corresponding to the actual direction of the target in relation to this operator. <??>The invention is used in short-range weapon systems. <IMAGE>

Ce dispositif d'aide à l'acquisition de cible par un opérateur, dans un système d'armes comportant un système de détection et de localisation de cibles délivrant des informations de localisation de cible, comporte essentiellement des moyens de synthèse (4n) de signaux sonores stéréophoniques destinés à l'opérateur, et des moyens (5) de conversion des informations de localisation de cible en informations de commande de synthèse de signaux stéréophoniques, afin de donner à l'opérateur la sensation subjective d'une direction d'attaque correspondant à la direction réelle de la cible par rapport à cet opérateur. Application : systèmes d'armes à courte portée.
