[origin: US4793259A] A rifle grenade comprises, at one end, a tube designed to be fitted to the barrel of a gun and, at the other end, a fuse and a head enclosing an explosive charge, the said tube comprising, upstream of the fuse, a bullet-trap and a booster-charge of propellant powder protected from external influences by a sealed wall. The said sealed wall is integral with a tubular element of the said tube and comprises an axial cavity defining a reduction in the thickness of the wall sufficient to ensure that the bullet shot by the gun shall pierce the wall without tearing it. The purpose is to increase the operational safety of rifle grenade.

Le grenade à fusil comprend à l'une de ses extrémités un tube (1) destiné à être enfilé sur le canon d'un fusil et à son autre extrémité une fusée (3) et une tête (4) renfermant une charge explosive (5), ce tube (1) comportant en amont de la fusée (3) un piège à balle (6) et une charge d'appoint (7) de poudre propulsive protégée des agressions extérieures par une paroi étanche (10). La paroi étanche (10) est réalisée d'une seule piéce avec une élément tubulaire dudit tube (1), cette paroi (10) présentant une cavité axiale (11) déterminant une réduction de l'épaisseur de cette paroi suffisante pour que la balle tirée par le fusil puisse percer cette paroi sans arracher celle-ci. Utilisation pour accroître la sécurité de fonctionnement des grenades à fusil.
