[origin: EP0267162A2] A pressure-regulating solenoid valve, particularly for high-pressure circuits of fuel injection systems for internal combustion engines, comprises a body (1) having an inlet (3) and an outlet (5) the communication of which is controlled by a ball-valve obturator (7) acted upon by a push rod (15) carried by a shaft (17) guided in a sliding manner in the body and to which there is fixed a magnetic core (22) cooperating with an energisation winding (23) to press the ball with a regulable force against a valve seat (8) defined between a calibrated aperture (13) communicating with the inlet (3) of the valve and a series of transverse passages (14) disposed symmetrically and communicating with the outlet (5) of the valve. The push rod (15) is also subject to the action of a resilient member (21) to press the ball (7) against the valve seat (B) with a constant force.
