The helix is surrounded by a sleeve (30, 96) which secures the final turn (88, 93) of the incandescent helix (22, 92) on the chamber side and supports a contact ring disc (46, 98) to which the other final turn (86, 94) of the incandescent helix (22, 92) is secured. The final turn (88, 93) on the chamber side is applied against an annular step (90, 107) of the sleeve (30, 96) facing the chamber, which surrounds a through-passage (91, 106) the internal diameter of which is smaller than the external diameter of the final turn (88, 93) on the chamber side, yet larger than the outer diameter of the other turns of the incandescent body (22, 92). In this way, the incandescent helix (22, 92) can still be inserted and connected when the contact ring disc (46, 98) is already attached to the sleeve (30, 96) and forms with the latter a prefabricated unit.
