[origin: EP0267318A2] Hitherto known alloys for producing jewellery, especially based on gold and platinum, are expensive. Cheaper known silver alloys are not resistant to tarnishing. An alloy based on palladium with additions of metals from groups 3 to 6 of the periodic system of the elements is proposed as a fully equivalent substitute for these expensive jewellery alloys.
