[origin: EP0267374A2] The brick is provided with two mutually opposite end walls (3) forming the abutting faces for in each case a laterally adjacent brick, and with side walls (4) extending perpendicularly to the latter and forming the wall face. It consists of two brick elements (5.1,5.2) which are displaceable relative to one another in the direction perpendicular to the end walls (3) and can be laid in their respective position. The brick elements (5.1,5.2) are constructed with a substantially L- or T-shaped profile, in each case one side (6) forming the end wall (3) and the other side (7) in the case of the L- shaped profile forming the side wall (4) and in the case of the T- shaped profile forming a central web. The cavities formed, in the case of drawn-apart brick elements (5.1,5.2), between the latter and open to the wall face are closed, at least in the region of the wall face, by filling pieces (9). <IMAGE>
