[origin: US4851076A] An applicator for adhesive film to a surface has a supply spool for tape carrying the film and a take-up member coupled to the supply spool by a drive mechanism. The tape passes around an applicator member which is resiliently mounted on the housing and can press the tape against the substrate so that the adhesive film is transferred to the latter.

Beschrieben ist ein Gerät zum Auftagen eines Klebstoff-Filmes auf ein Substrat (1), mit einem Gehäuse (2), in dem eine Vorratsspule für ein mit einem Klebstoff-Film beschichtetes Trägerband, eine Aufwickelhaspel zur Aufnahme des vom Klebstoff-Film getrennten Trägerbandes und eine das Band (4) umlenkende Auftragerinrichtung (6) angebracht sind, die aus dem Gehäuse (2) herausragt und die mit Klebstoff-Film beschichtete Seite des Trägerbandes (4) der Außenseite des Gerätes und somit dem Substrat (1) darbietet, wobei zwischen der Vorratsspule und der Aufwickelhaspel eine Antriebsverbindung mit einer Rutschkupplung ausgebildet ist, die beim Antrieb der Vorratsspule durch Abziehen des Trägerbandes die Leerspule mit einer solchen Drehzahl antreibt, daß das Trägeband stets gespannt bleibt. Um einen exakten, gleichmäßigen und randscharfen Klebstoffauftrag zu erzielen ist vorgesehen, daß die Autrageinrichtung (6) elastisch gelagert ist.
