[origin: EP0267403A2] In the capacitive isolating section for DC isolation of a coaxial cable, a radio-frequency filter, preferably a low-pass filter, is provided in addition to an isolating capacitor in the outer conductor, by means of which the shielding characteristics of the isolating section are considerably improved. The isolating capacitor in the outer conductor can be a part of the radio-frequency filter. The attenuation characteristics of the isolating section can be improved even further by means of several radio-frequency filters connected in the manner of a cascade. <IMAGE>
