Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0267420B1] 1. Roll stand with a device for the axial displacement of adjustable rolls, which are borne in chocks (3, 4) and secured axially, with hydraulic cylinder-piston units (12, 13), which act in the direction of the roll axes and the extendable part (18, 19) of each of which is connectable with a respective chock of a roll (1, 2) and detachable of the dismounting of the roll and the non-extendable part (14 to 17) of which is fixed at a housing post (7), characterised thereby, that the cylinder-piston units (12, 13) are each carried by an intermediate member (5, 6), which is fixed to be vertically movable at a housing post (7) and arranged between a device (8, 8a), which is fast with the housing, for the balancing-out or counterbending of a roll and a projecting part (strap 3a or 4a) of a chock (3, 4), and that the projecting part is couplable shape-lockingly with the extendable part (18, 19) of a cylinder-piston unit (12, 13) by a relative adjustment in height between the intermediate member and the chock.
