[origin: WO8706802A1] A device comprising a ski binding which can be secured to a ski, whereby the ski boot is provided with an engagement element which is located longitudinally in relation to the latter. The engagement element is formed, in the known manner, of a wire material with a plurality of bends, whereby its cross-piece is located at a distance from the front end of the boot and its side-pieces, which are adjacent to the cross-piece, are secured at the front-end region of the sole of the ski boot by free bent-out wire sections. According to the invention, the free wire sections (6, 7) of each side-piece (4, 5) of the engagement element (2) are additionally bent out in the direction of the cross-piece (3) at an angle ( alpha ), as a result of which a better attachment of the engagement element (2) and distribution of forces is achieved between the engagement element and ski boot (1). Furthermore, according to the invention, the individual side-pieces (4, 5) should be divided into at least two wire sections the direction of which differs from that of the previous or next wire section.

Le dispositif décrit comprend une fixation de ski qui se fixe sur un ski, la chaussure de ski étant pourvue d'un élément d'engagement qui est situé longitudinalement par rapport à cette dernière. L'élément d'engagement est formé, de manière connue, d'un fil métallique recourbé plusieurs fois, son élément transversal étant situé à une certaine distance de l'extrémité frontale de la chaussure et ces éléments latéraux, adjacents à l'élément transversal, étant assujettis au niveau de la région de l'extrémité frontale de la semelle de la chaussure de ski par des sections de fil métallique recourbées libres. Les sections de fil métallique libres (6, 7) de chaque élément latéral (4, 5) de l'élément d'engagement (2) sont en outre recourbées en direction de l'élément transversal (3) selon un angle (alpha), ce qui améliore la fixation de l'élément d'engagement (2) et la répartition des efforts entre l'élément d'engagement et la chaussure de ski (1). De plus, selon l'invention, les éléments latéraux (4, 5) individuels doivent être divisés en au moins deux sections de fil métallique dont la direction diffère de celle de la section de fil précédente ou suivante.
