[origin: EP0268502A1] The cap comprises at least one cylindrical receiver (3) designed to accommodate the end of the lead (4), a flat, blind aperture (18), arranged transversely in relation to the receiver (3) and intersecting the latter, and a clip (8) of conductive material which is engaged in the aperture (18) for fixing and connecting the lead (4). The clip (8) has a slot (9) and a cutting edge (10) at its end. When it engages in the aperture (18), the lead (4) being in place in the receiver (3), the clip (8) cuts the insulation on the lead (4). The core (14) of the lead (4) is inserted into the slot (9), the width of which does not exceed the diameter of the core (14). In this way an electrical contact is made between the lead and the clip. <IMAGE>
