[origin: EP0268804A1] The electrical switching arrangement contains a U-shaped ferromagnetic element 1 with a permanent magnet 2 which produces a magnetic flux in this element 1. A ferromagnetic armature 3 moves in the longitudinal direction between two opposite limbs 1b, 1c of the element 1. An electrical coil 4 is connected to a drive unit and influences the magnetic flux in order to change the position of the armature 3, by changing the direction of the current flowing through the electrical coil 4.
