[origin: EP0268902A1] The system is of the type that contains a transmitter with devices for transmitting and transferring a coded message, and also a receiver with devices for receiving the message sent out by the transmitter, devices for comparing the said message with a stored message and devices for transmitting a control signal in the case of agreement between the received message and the stored message. The remote control system in accordance with the invention is characterised by the fact that the receiver contains in its memory a previously specified fixed code, reception of which does not cause transmission of the said control signal but actuates devices for input into the said memory of a control code that has been received after the said fixed code, the said, previously specified fixed code being sent out by a programmable transmitter.
