1. Lower part for a paper perforator made from sheet steel, said lower part comprising a base plate, which forms the desktop contact surface and the punching die, and vertically upwardly bent side cheeks which are joined to said base plate, a pressure lever which operates on the hole punches being mounted on said side cheeks, and the horizontal punching die of said pressure lever being contiguous with a part of the base plate which forms the front desktop contact surface and is bent vertically upwards, and which is separate from the side cheeks, characterised in that to both sides of a central panel (5) of the base plate, longitudinal cuts divide from the part of the base plate adjoining the punching die (4, 41) parts which are each bent back twice at right angles and form the upper boundary (8) of the insertion slot, said boundary incorporating a recess (81) for the passage of the hole punch (10), and which parts have an extension (9) bent upwards at right angles, one (91) of the peripheral portions (91, 92) of said extension (9), which are bent about two vertical lines at right angles in opposite directions, together with an inwardly bent portion (71, 71') of a side cheek, (7, 7'), delimiting a compartment accommodating the hole punch (10) and the coil spring (11) surrounding the latter, and the other (92) being riveted or welded to the front, right-angled end (71, 71') of a side cheek (7, 7').

Zur Materialersparnis, zur Vereinfachung der Montage sowie zur Ausbildung einer formsteifen Lochstempelführung besteht das Brieflocherunterteil aus einem Zuschnitt, dessen abgebogene Felder (1,1') die Standfläche des Brieflochers, dessen Feld (3) eine Aufgleitfläche, dessen Feld (4) den Matrizensteg, dessen Feld (8) die obere Begrenzung des Einschiebschlitzes bildet, auf der sich die den Lochstempel (10) umschließende Schraubenfeder (11) abstützt, und dessen Feld (9) zusammen mit dem abgewinkelten vorderen Ende (71) einer Seitenwange (7) eine den Lochstempel (10) und die Schraubenfeder (11) umschließende Kammer bildet.
