Air distributor (10) for ceiling installation, having a body (12) which has an outwardly projecting, downwardly sloping distributor ring (14), which is borne by a connecting piece (15) of substantial length protruding from the ceiling, as well as having a distributor disc (18) which, together with the distributor ring, forms an outwardly tapering outlet gap (68) for a ventilation airstream (78). The distributor disc (18) has a concave outer side and a correspondingly convex inner side, facing the outlet gap (68), and is suspended on a concentric shroud (20), which shields off about half the circumference of the outlet gap. The ventilation airstream (78) sucks in from the shroud side a surrounding airstream (80) between ceiling and ventilation airstream. The surrounding airstream (80) forms a buffer between ventilation airstream and ceiling and allows a greater flow range, a better mixing of the ventilation air with the surrounding air and a lower air conversion requirement (Fig. 5). <IMAGE>

Luftverteiler (10) für Deckenmontage mit einem Rumpf (12), welcher einen auskragenden, schräg abwärts gerichteten Verteilerring (14) besitzt, der von einem von der Decke abragenden Stutzen (15) wesentlicher Länge getragen ist, sowie mit einer Verteilerscheibe (18), welche zusammen mit dem Verteilerring einen nach aussen sich verjüngenden Auslaufspalt (68) für einen Ventilationsluftstrom (78) bildet. Die Verteilerscheibe (18) besitzt eine konkave Aussenseite und eine entsprechende konvexe, dem Auslaufspalt (68) zugewendete Innenseite, und ist aufgehängt an einem konzentrischen Schirmblech (20), welches etwa den halben Auslaufspaltumfang abschirmt. Der Ventilationsluftstrom (78) saugt von der Schirmblechseite her einen Umgebungsluftstrom (80) zwischen Decke und Ventilationsluftstrom an. Der Umgebungsluftstrom (80) bildet einen Puffer zwischen Ventilationsluftstrom und Decke und gestattet eine grössere Strömungsweite, ein besseres Mischen der Ventilationsluft mit der Umgebungsluft sowie einen geringeren Luftumsetzungsbedarf.
